ZATCA e-invoicing in Jeddah for traders, shops and restaurants
Jeddah trades with the world through its port and sells to millions of shoppers and visitors in between. Daftarix gives Jeddah businesses one ZATCA e-invoicing system for both: standard invoices for other companies and QR-coded simplified invoices at the counter, ready for Fatoora.
- Fatoora integration for Phase 2
- QR invoices for shops and cafés
- Arabic and English invoices

Jeddah is the Kingdom’s commercial gateway on the Red Sea. Jeddah Islamic Port is one of the busiest ports in the region, the city’s markets run from the historic lanes of Al-Balad to the malls along Tahlia Street, and its airport receives pilgrims and business travellers all year. That mix means Jeddah businesses issue both kinds of tax invoice every day: standard invoices between companies, and simplified invoices at shop and café counters.
ZATCA’s rules are the same across the Kingdom, but the work looks different on the ground. A trading company importing through the port needs every B2B invoice cleared by Fatoora once its wave begins, while a café on the Corniche needs a QR code on every receipt and reporting within 24 hours. Daftarix handles both from one system in Arabic and English, so the same team can sell, invoice and support customers without switching tools.

ZATCA e-invoicing across Jeddah’s districts and nearby towns
Daftarix works online, so a business in any part of Jeddah, or in the towns along the coast, uses the same compliant invoicing.

ZATCA e-invoicing in Jeddah: questions we hear
Do trading companies in Jeddah need to integrate with Fatoora?
Every VAT-registered business joins Phase 2 when its wave arrives. Wave 25 covers businesses whose VAT-taxable revenue passed SAR 187,500 in any year from 2022 to 2025, with integration from 1 February 2027, so many trading companies in Jeddah are now in scope. ZATCA notifies each business directly.
How do simplified invoices work for shops and cafés in Jeddah?
A sale to a consumer needs a simplified tax invoice with a QR code. Under Phase 2 your system reports each one to ZATCA within 24 hours, so the customer gets the invoice straight away and the counter keeps moving.
What changes on my integration date?
From that date, standard tax invoices to other businesses are cleared by ZATCA before the buyer receives them, and simplified invoices are reported within 24 hours. Until then, the Phase 1 rules for electronic generation and storage apply.
Can Daftarix serve businesses in Rabigh, King Abdullah Economic City and other towns near Jeddah?
Yes. Daftarix works online, so a business in Rabigh, King Abdullah Economic City, Thuwal or Bahrah uses the same system as one on Tahlia Street.
