What is Fatoora integration?
Fatoora is ZATCA’s e-invoicing platform, and Fatoora integration is the live link between your invoicing system and that platform. It sits at the heart of Phase 2, which ZATCA rolls out in waves from 1 January 2023. Before the link goes live, your invoicing solution is onboarded to Fatoora and receives a cryptographic stamp identifier, or CSID, which identifies it to ZATCA each time an invoice is sent.
Once connected, each invoice takes one of two paths. Standard tax invoices for business buyers go to ZATCA for clearance and are shared with the buyer only after ZATCA has validated them. Simplified tax invoices for consumers go to the customer straight away and are reported to ZATCA within 24 hours. In Daftarix both paths begin with the invoice you already create from a quotation, so there is no separate Fatoora system for your team to learn.
The connection, handled inside your invoicing.
Onboarding and CSID
Onboard your Daftarix account to the Fatoora platform and receive the cryptographic stamp identifier used when your invoices are signed.
Clearance for B2B invoices
Standard tax invoices are sent to ZATCA for clearance first, and reach the buyer only once ZATCA has cleared them.
Reporting for B2C invoices
Simplified tax invoices go to your customer at the point of sale, then are reported to ZATCA within 24 hours.
From quotation to Fatoora
Raise the invoice from an accepted quotation and it follows the right Fatoora path, with no export or manual upload in between.
Invoice questions in support
When a buyer asks about a cleared invoice, your help desk sees that invoice next to the ticket and can answer straight away.
Arabic and English teams
Finance and sales staff work in Arabic or English, while the invoice data sent to ZATCA keeps the format it requires.

How to choose the best Fatoora integration in Saudi Arabia
A working connection to ZATCA is essential, but it is only one part of billing. These are the questions worth asking before you choose.
- Is it part of your daily tools?A connector bolted onto a separate app means copying data. In Daftarix the link sits behind the invoices your team already creates.
- Does it handle both invoice types?Clearance for standard invoices and reporting for simplified ones should run from one place, not two separate workflows.
- Can your whole team use it?Arabic and English screens, with a true right-to-left layout, let finance and sales work comfortably on the same records.
- What does it cost to start?Daftarix is lifetime free for one user. Larger teams can book a demo and ask us for pricing.

What is the Fatoora platform?
Fatoora is the e-invoicing platform run by ZATCA, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. In Phase 2, invoicing solutions connect to it so that standard tax invoices can be cleared and simplified tax invoices reported.
What is a CSID?
A CSID, or cryptographic stamp identifier, is issued when an invoicing solution is onboarded to Fatoora. It identifies the solution to ZATCA and is used to apply the cryptographic stamp on each invoice it issues.
What is the difference between clearance and reporting?
Clearance applies to standard tax invoices between businesses: ZATCA validates each invoice before it reaches the buyer. Reporting applies to simplified tax invoices for consumers: the customer gets the invoice first, and it is reported to ZATCA within 24 hours.
When does my business need Fatoora integration?
Phase 2 started on 1 January 2023 and is rolled out in waves based on revenue. ZATCA notifies each business ahead of its wave, so your integration date is in that notice.
Does Fatoora integration change how we create invoices?
Very little. You still create invoices from quotations or from scratch. The work happens in the background: Daftarix produces the XML, applies the cryptographic stamp and sends each invoice to Fatoora for clearance or reporting.
Can I see the Fatoora integration in a demo?
Yes. Book a demo or email sales@daftarix.com, and we will show you how an invoice moves from a quotation to clearance or reporting, using examples from your kind of business.
More connected. More possible.
